LEGO SDCC exclusives are nowhere to be seen, but visitors to the LEGO Group's booth won't go away empty-handed.
While the LEGO Group is not doing any official exclusives at San Diego Comic-Con this year, it has pulled out all the stops by teaming up with Blockbuster for its booth. With the entire space kitted out to look like a video rental store (very retro), the biggest LEGO-themed events from the convention are listed as 'coming attractions'.
What's more, LEGO fans paying a visit to the booth won't walk away empty-handed. Beyond the Brick has shared that you can still pick up a few brick-built gifts, such as the 'Be Kind, Rewind' (Blockbuster's original slogan) minifigure pictured below (presumably from the Build-a-Minifigure section spotted in other pictures of the booth).
What's more, you can keep the Brickbuster Video membership card as an extra memento, complete with the date and location of SDCC 2023 on the back. The card also has a QR code, suggesting that it'll have some sort of digital component, although it's not clear what this part is as of yet.
Plus, while they're not freebies, visitors to the LEGO Group's booth can buy sets scheduled for an August 1 and even September release dates ahead of their official launches. This includes over 50 new LEGO sets on display, including both Marvel and Star Wars releases.
While only those in attendance are the only ones to get their hands on exclusives like the 'Be Kind, Rewind' minifigure, you can rest assured at least a few will surely make their way onto the secondhand market in the coming days or weeks.
