The Anzellan dilemma with LEGO Star Wars' 2025 advent calendar

LEGO Star Wars' 2025 advent calendar includes an element with more worth following today's trailer, presenting fans with a choice to make.

Note that this report will feature minor spoilers for 75418 Advent Calendar, discussing part of the contents visible on the box.

This year's seasonal LEGO Star Wars advent calendar focuses on a droid workshop, and as such, it includes our first figure for Babu Frik. The figure uses a new and exclusive element that would suitably represent any Anzellan, such as those confirmed to feature in The Mandalorian and Grogu movie.

The first trailer for the next Star Wars movie, coming to theatres on May 22, 2026, features at least three Anzellans in a prominent role, exploring an underground pipe system and riding an Anzellan-sized landspeeder. Suffice to say that the new piece in 75418 Advent Calendar is going to be ideal for fans wanting to recreate these scenes from the film.

This leaves LEGO Star Wars enthusiasts with a dilemma – whether to pick up 75418 Advent Calendar for the Anzellan figure now, or wait and see if The Mandalorian and Grogu inspires tie-in LEGO sets, in case they make use of this currently-exclusive piece.

The Mandalorian and Grogu is not currently confirmed to receive any LEGO Star Wars sets, though every other movie in the franchise has at least one model. In our review of 75418 Advent Calendar, we mentioned that while the contents of the calendar are well-themed, the Anzellan piece is easily one of the best parts.

Whether you're impressed by everything in 75418 Advent Calendar or not, you might want to pick up a copy of this seasonal set for one simple reason. Multiple Anzellans appear in the new film, and having a spare of this piece may mean a more accurate recreation of the movie's scenes.

That's assuming that the new film is going to receive tie-in LEGO Star Wars content. In the meantime, you can find the only LEGO Anzellan in 75418 Advent Calendar, and the piece has become much more worthwhile thanks to the new trailer.
