Every new-for-2026 LEGO set scheduled to retire this year

Despite launching this year or being scheduled to be released this year, some LEGO sets are looking to retire in 2026 with just months on shelves.

It's not often that a LEGO set releases and retires in the same year, but it happens in every theme now and then. This leaves fans with just months to pick the model and its contents up before it is gone for good. For 2026, that list is surprisingly extensive, but we've tracked down which 2026 sets will be gone before the end of the year, at least at the time of writing.

Here's your guide to the new-for-2026 LEGO sets scheduled to retire in 2026, despite only launching this year. These dates are subject to change, but all information is correct at the time of publication.

LEGO Marvel

There's just one LEGO Marvel model scheduled to retire this year that also launched in 2026. That would be 11207 Spidey: Underwater Vehicles, based on Spidey and his Amazing Friends with plenty for younger fans to enjoy, but not much for older enthusiasts.

LEGO Harry Potter

More appealing to older fans will be the fact that 76467 Luna Lovegood's House, released last month, is also retiring later this year. It's the first time this location has been recreated in LEGO form, and it seemingly won't be available for long.

LEGO NINJAGO

LEGO NINJAGO's array of 2026 creations retiring later this year includes the usual mix of spinners, the likes of which never stick around for long. What's more interesting is the fact that 71854 Cole's Mission Mech, 71856 Jay's Transforming Car and 71857 Ninja Vehicle Tree House Battle are currently scheduled to retire in 11 months.

LEGO DREAMZzz

As reported late last month, all of LEGO DREAMZzz is scheduled to retire later this year. That includes the new 2026 models, which were released last month.

LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog

Both new LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog sets are currently scheduled to retire in 2026, but we'd note that 77118 Silver's Car vs. Knuckles' Monster Truck has seen its retiring date move around a bit since the start of the year. Just in case, you might want to pick up that exclusive Silver minifigure sooner rather than later.

LEGO Creator

The space-centric 31378 Space Exploration Telescope is LEGO Creator's only 2026 set due to retire this year at the time of writing. It's an ideal partner for any kind of space creation, to an extent including 11389 Project Hail Mary.

LEGO Speed Champions

LEGO Speed Champions' new 77259 Audi Revolut F1 Team R26 is launching in March, but it will be retiring at the end of 2026. This date may shift once the model has been released. Watch this space accordingly.

LEGO Minifigures

It shouldn't be surprising to learn that 71051 Series 28 Animals is retiring in 2026. Minifigure series only tend to have four months on shelves, with this one gone by the end of April.

LEGO Disney

LEGO Disney's new mini princess models and 43285 Ariel's Magical Mini Palace were launched at the start of January but are already due to retire at the end of 2026.

LEGO City

From half of the Rides models to the other new Audi Formula 1 set, LEGO City has an extensive list of 2026 models currently due to retire at the end of the year.

LEGO Friends

LEGO City is somehow topped by Friends in terms of the new-for-2026 builds leaving shelves this year. The theme has a staggering 10 sets due for retirement in December, from an indoor playground to a beach.

LEGO BrickHeadz

LEGO BrickHeadz's new 40881 Supply Llama & Fishstick Figures will be released in March and is currently looking to enjoy nine months on shelves before a swift retirement.

LEGO Minecraft

Don't miss out on 21584 Nether & End Portal Journey as the only 2026 LEGO Minecraft model retiring this year. The affordable build is packed with content for fans of the game to enjoy, including some rare inclusions.

LEGO Seasonal

Rounding out the selection is the expected news that both 80118 Fortune Firecracker and 80119 Galloping Horses Canvas are retiring in 2026. It's common for the annual Chinese Traditional Festivals pair to retire the year they are released, and it's the same for 2026.
