Another LEGO sticker typo has been spotted, this time with a misspelling in a language the LEGO Group created itself.
Just as the LEGO Group makes another sticker faux pas in 10356 USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D, the company may have misspelt another sticker, but this time in its own fictional language. The official Ninjargon translator from 71741 NINJAGO City Gardens' instructions translates the final character with one line above it from above the spiderweb sticker in 71861 The Old Town below as 'N', whereas 'P' has two lines above it.
Translated as written here, the word above and below the spiderweb reads 'sleen' – which naturally doesn't make sense. Reading between the lines, the characters for 'N' and 'P' have seemingly been confused, with the intended translation meant to be 'sleep'.
That would certainly make sense, making it a reference Harumi's nursery rhyme from Sons of Garmadon. It's a minor mistake that's not quite as instantly obvious as 10356 USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D's boldy-versus-boldly mishap, but for those who know Ninjargon well, it might well niggle.
Nonetheless, there is a wealth of other deep cuts and references woven into 71861 The Old Town, 15 of which we've picked out here. To enjoy it in all its glory, you'll be able to pick up the LEGO NINJAGO set from January 1, retailing at £269.99 / $299.99 / €299.99.
