Billy Connolly fans can purchase the Scottish comedian in LEGO form for one day only, to raise money for charity.
Glasgow's Buchanan Galleries' 750 minifigures of Connolly comprise of five different versions of the performer. Each iteration captures the performer at a different moment in his career, including the Biker Yin, the Actor Yin, the Artist Yin Musician Yin and the Funny Yin.
The unofficial, customised figures are on sale for one day only on September 4 in order to raise money for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.
“We wanted to celebrate one of the most famous and much-loved celebrities in Scotland, whilst raising funds for a very worthwhile cause so we’re thrilled to be able to bring Billy to life in miniature form," Kathy Murdoch, centre manager at Buchanan Galleries, told the National. “The figurines have been created from genuine LEGO bricks, an iconic toy for many people, and we’re sure they will become a real collector’s item."
The novelty minifigures are only available through limited stock on a first-come, first-served basis, selling for £10 for the solo 'Funny Yin' and requiring a minimum donation of £50 for all five 'Wee Big Yins'. They can only be purchased in person at Buchanon Galleries Shopping Centre.
