Three current LEGO buildable flower sets are getting new box art for 2026, bringing them closer in line with the rest of the Botanicals range.
40460 Roses, 40524 Sunflowers and 40725 Cherry Blossoms are all pocket money-priced flowers that each debuted in generic yellow LEGO boxes, separate from even the original Botanical Collection subtheme of LEGO Icons. Now that the LEGO Group has fleshed out LEGO Botanicals as its own theme, however, these three sets are being updated with corresponding packaging for 2026.
Australian retailer Big W has published images of the new boxes for all three sets, which follow the same style as the bigger LEGO Botanicals builds – but with a hint of colour to distinguish them from the all-black boxes of the larger flowers and blooms. Everything else about these sets is otherwise unchanged, so if you already own them the only reason to double-dip will be if you’re bothered about the fancy new packaging.
We’ll presumably see the older packaging phased out at LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores and replaced by these new boxes in 2026, but time will tell on that one. For now, you can compare the new and old boxes below…
40460 Roses, 40524 Sunflowers and 40725 Cherry Blossoms are all available now. If you want the original packaging for whatever reason, probably best to buy soonish before it’s gone for good.
