A LEGO Dragon Ball set is said to be on the way later this year, which would time neatly with the anime series’ 40th anniversary.
BrickTap reports (via maniac67_) that a ‘Dragon Ball display set’ will debut in November, marking the franchise’s first appearance in bricks. The original series aired from February 1986 to April 1989, adapting the manga of the same name, and follows the adventures of a super-strong, monkey-tailed boy named Goku. A sequel series, Dragon Ball Z, aired in Japan from April 1989 through January 1996.
Take this one with an even bigger grain of salt than usual given maniac67_ is a relatively new source, but the corroboration by BrickTap – a generally reliable rumour source – does give it some weight. And two factors are in its favour right now: first, the LEGO Group loves an anniversary; and second, it’s already starting to dip its toes into the anime pool.

LEGO Ideas is currently running a Yu-Gi-Oh! contest that will culminate in an official product, for example, while LEGO One Piece is based on a live-action adaptation of the longest-running anime of all time. But whether LEGO Dragon Ball will indeed join their ranks in 2026 remains to be seen – and if so, what that might look like.
This rumour teases nothing more than a ‘display set’, and with one eye on the age of the series it wouldn’t be surprising to see the LEGO Group targeting adult fans with its first LEGO Dragon Ball product.
Keep an eye on Brick Fanatics for more details on a potential LEGO Dragon Ball crossover as we get them, but we’ll likely be waiting a little while for official confirmation on this one given it’s only February.
