Pre-orders for LEGO Ideas 21376 Orange Cat have stopped in the US, signalling that the second cat creation is as popular as the first already.
The LEGO Group has stopped pre-orders of 21376 Orange Cat in the US, after they went live shortly after its reveal on February 2. They were still available as of February 4, but at the time of writing are gone. This usually only happens when the LEGO Group sells through the stock allocated to pre-orders to ensure there are enough copies to sell upon release.
There's no way of knowing just how many copies of 21376 Orange Cat were allocated to this pre-order stock, but it seems likely to be a fair amount after the LEGO Ideas team acknowledged that the first cat creation was incredibly popular.
"It was a big surprise for us, just how viral the cat went when it was released," said LEGO Ideas Creative Lead Jordan David Scott in a roundtable with LEGO fan media. "It has been really successful, and it's been kind of shown and shared everywhere, which is great.
"It also lends itself to looking a lot like Cataclaws (from the Christmas 2025 campaign and
21376 Orange Cat doesn't resemble Cataclaws as strongly, yet appears to be a popular pick for enthusiasts in the US weeks ahead of its March 1 release date. 21349 Tuxedo Cat is currently on back order in the region until February 19, but a new bundle might help to explain this.
