LEGO Marvel 76269 Avengers Tower officially revealed

The LEGO Group has finally unveiled 76269 Avengers Tower, the biggest and most minifigure-heavy LEGO Marvel set of all time.

Rumoured for what feels like forever, but was probably really only as long as it would take to watch the entire MCU in one sitting (so, forever), 76269 Avengers Tower slams into the room with 5,201 pieces and 31 characters in the box. That makes it not only the biggest LEGO Marvel set of all time, but also puts it right up there among the LEGO sets with the most minifigures in a single product.

Surpassing even 2021’s 76178 Daily Bugle in height and ambition – clocking in at a bewildering 90cm tall – 76269 Avengers Tower is instantly the superhero set to beat. The finished model boasts a full interior, collecting together scenes from across the Infinity Saga, while the exterior is decorated with a Quinjet, Leviathan and two Chitauri flyers from 2012’s Avengers Assemble.

It’s all built on a standard 32x32-stud baseplate, which means it fits into the same modular building standard as 76178 Daily Bugle, 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum, 10326 Natural History Museum, 71799 NINJAGO City Markets and so on. Essentially: this is the Avengers Tower Marvel fans have been calling for ever since 76178 Daily Bugle arrived on shelves two and a half years ago.

The model’s stacked minifigure roster includes (deep breath): Tony Stark, Iron Man MK7, Iron Man MK6, Captain America, Captain America (again), Thor, Black Widow, The Wasp, Ant-Man, Hawkeye, Wanda Maximoff, Falcon, Vision, War Machine, Pepper Potts, Wong, Nick Fury, Dr. Cho, Hulk, Erik Selvig, Tony Stark SHIELD Agent, two generic SHIELD Agents, Alexander Pierce, four Chitauri soldiers, Loki, Ultron and Marvel president Kevin Feige.

There are a handful of curious omissions among the pack – where’s Quicksilver? – but that’s otherwise as comprehensive as you could expect from the ultimate LEGO Marvel Avengers Tower. There’s also a brick-built Dum-E, but it’s tricky to call that a minifigure. (The LEGO Group certainly hasn’t in the set’s press release.)

76269 Avengers Tower – which is billed in the press release as a celebration of the 60th anniversary of the very first issue of The Avengers – launches November 24, 2023 (or Black Friday) for £429.99 / $499.99 / €499.99. Buy yours during the Black Friday event (November 24 to 27) to receive a free LEGO Marvel Taxi gift-with-purchase, which includes a New York yellow taxi, Black Panther, a taxi driver and two Outrider minifigures.
