We may now know the identity of a fourth mystery minifigure said to be included with the rumoured LEGO Marvel 76281 X-Men Jet.
Rumours suggest that the LEGO Marvel theme may be gaining a new set featuring the X-Men in 2024, if recent reports are to be believed. 76281 X-Men Jet is said to be launching in January 2024 and may boast 359 pieces (including four minifigures) for what could be $79.99.
The LEGO Marvel model might well be a follow-up to 76022 X-Men vs. The Sentinel, a 2014 build that was constructed from 336 pieces and included minifigures of Storm, Magneto and Wolverine in his brown and orange costume.
Now a new rumour has emerged regarding the 2024 set, one that appears to reveal the full line-up of all four minifigures said to come with 76281 X-Men Jet. Instagram user maxbautde (via 1414falconfan) suggests that the quartet of mutants appearing with the potential model may in fact be Wolverine, Cyclops, Magneto and Rogue.
We’d already heard hints regarding the first three, but the identity of the mysterious fourth minifigure was previously unknown. If that proves to be true, it would mark the debut of the superpower-absorbing character as a minifigure, making the rumoured set even more tantalising for fans of Marvel’s mutants. Rogue will also be part of the cast of the upcoming Disney+ animated series, X-Men '97, so it could make sense that she might appear in a set featuring other characters from the show.
The LEGO Group has yet to announce or confirm the existence of 76281 X-Men Jet, so any details surrounding the possible LEGO Marvel set should be taken with a large pinch of salt for now.
