LEGO NINJAGO: Dragons Rising to dive into Green Ninja lore

LEGO NINJAGO: Dragons Rising to dive into Green Ninja lore

LEGO NINJAGO: Dragons Rising Season 4 is now confirmed to dive deep into Green Ninja lore, and it has even named Lloyd's power.

After years of confusion regarding what exactly NINJAGO's Lloyd is the Elemental Master of, a new clip for the upcoming season of the theme's animated series has confirmed his power at long last. You can watch the new clip for yourself below, which teases other interesting information that will likely be explained in the season.

Lloyd is now confirmed to be the Elemental Master of Life, not Energy, as previously stated. The Arc Dragon of Life, of 71859 The Dragon of Life, confirms as much when Lloyd, Arin and Euphrasia visit them in the Whispering Woods. They also mention that other Green Ninjas have served them before, expressing their disappointment that Lloyd is only just visiting them.

This is a major revelation for the theme. While the Green Ninja was known to be a title, it was thought that Lloyd was the first and only to hold that title, but now we know that there have been others. It seems likely that this lore will be further explained in the full season.

The clip also provides us with a much better look at the Treewoks, inspired by Star Wars' Ewoks. They take Lloyd and the team to the animated equivalent of 71857 Ninja Vehicle Tree House Battle, but these adorable figures are nowhere to be seen in any of the new sets. Their small stature makes them unsuitable for minifigures, but a new print on the plush piece would be useful to recreate them.

That same piece has already been used for the Kakamora in 43258 Kakamora Barge, in case NINJAGO fans needed another excuse to pick up the Moana model.

The release of this new clip hopefully brings us one step closer to the full release of the fourth season. The first NINJAGO season of the year is usually released around April, but there's no official launch date at the time of writing. Head here to watch the full trailer for the upcoming season.
