The first trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu is here, and it's practically bursting with LEGO Star Wars set potential, beyond a new Razor Crest.
The official trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu has finally been unveiled after being shown in various forms at events worldwide. The footage from the next Star Wars movie on the big screen features some familiar faces and a returning vehicle, teasing the adventures to come in the film when it arrives on May 22, 2026.
While we wait for the film to arrive, the question of what the movie's inevitable (but unconfirmed) LEGO Star Wars sets will look like, and the trailer has six moments that are ideal for a LEGO set, or two.
Once you've watched the new trailer, read on to see what parts of the footage would be perfect for a LEGO Star Wars model.
A new Razor Crest
There's no getting around the most inevitable LEGO Star Wars set for The Mandalorian and Grogu. The return of the Razor Crest (now with additional yellow stripes) is a great inspiration for another LEGO build of the bulky starship. Before the original ship was destroyed in The Mandalorian, the LEGO Group released three full sets based on the Razor Crest in the form of a Microfighter, a standard model, and an Ultimate Collectors Series set.
This new take on the Razor Crest could easily inspire a new version of any, or all of these past sets. While this is the most inevitable of ships to inspire a LEGO Star Wars The Mandalorian and Grogu model, it's not the only vehicle or scene that caught our eye in the trailer.
The Dejarik arena

The gladiatorial arena, which features the return of Rotta the Hutt, is described as including creatures from Dejarik. After a set based on the Geonosis Arena was cancelled before it received a 2005 model, the LEGO Star Wars design team could revisit the concept of a Star Wars arena with a build based on this scene.
The creatures and Rotta would work well as brick-built or moulded figures, and a small section of the outer wall with a gate is all that would be needed to sell the idea of an arena in a physical build. Location-based playsets are rare in LEGO Star Wars, but this moment offers the team a second chance to create a LEGO Star Wars arena at long last.
Another AT-AT

Walking it back to LEGO Star Wars vehicle sets, the return of AT-ATs in the new trailer presents an opportunity to release another recreation of the four-legged walker.
While the build itself would be able to stick to the familiar framework seen in 75288 AT-AT, the minifigure selection in such a set is what could make it stand out from the crowd and cement its position as a The Mandalorian and Grogu build. It's a familiar set suggestion, but one that seems more likely because of that familiarity.
The huge droid duo

The Mandalorian's LEGO sets have been more adventurous than just spaceships and walkers. 75361 Spider Tank depicts a unique robotic creature from the third season, and the designers have another opportunity to create diverse robotic models with The Mandalorian and Grogu.
A pair of giant droids guarding a door in the new trailer stand out from the crowd and are some of the better picks for potential LEGO Star Wars models based on the movie. Their ramshackle armour and size compared to Din Djarin make them approachable to recreate in LEGO form, and a set with them would only need one minifigure, based on what we can see in this scene.
Zeb's hallway battle
LEGO Star Wars' recent history of hallway-centric models started with The Mandalorian's 75324 Dark Trooper Attack. It may be time to look towards hallway models once more for The Mandalorian and Grogu.
A short segment of the trailer is dedicated to Zeb's return after a brief appearance in The Mandalorian Season 3, battling a couple of Stormtroopers in an elegantly decorated hallway. A small build of this scene featuring at least three minifigures not only offers an opportunity for the first new Zeb minifigure since 2014, but also builds on a successful concept for recent LEGO Star Wars sets.
The Anzellan-sized landspeeder

Grogu doesn't just hitch a ride on the new Razor Crest in The Mandalorian and Grogu. He can briefly be seen riding in the back of a small speeder piloted by an Anzellan. This miniature vehicle is perfect for an affordable LEGO Star Wars set with only miniature figures.
