Singer Lewis Capaldi meets his LEGO self at Covent Garden's Chalet of Play

Singer and self-confessed LEGO fan Lewis Capaldi came face to face with a brick-built version of himself in London's Chalet of Play.

Scottish singer Lewis Capaldi headed down to the LEGO Group's Chalet of Play in Covent Garden to build both new sets and chat about old-school favourites in a new video series, coming soon. He also came face to face now just with a brick-built version of his latest album, but also himself made from LEGO bricks. The LEGO Lewis was made up of more than 41,000 LEGO bricks, which took 207 hours to put together.

"Having LEGO around helps take my mind off stuff," Lewis said. "I'm so focused on putting it all together that I’m able to put other stuff that’s going on to the back of my mind. There’s also a nice nostalgia tied into it. It’s a lovely feeling."

You can head down to the Chalet of Play yourself until November 30, held at the Piazza on Covent Garden. It features activities like building your own Christmas tree decoration to hang on the Creativi-Tree, taking part in the LEGO Group's Build to Give initiative, and various other festive games.

"We loved taking Lewis on a trip down memory lane through LEGO sets and hearing about his cherished memories of the LEGO brand," said Kuran Sharma, Head of Marketing at the LEGO Group. "The holiday season is the perfect time to rediscover the joy of play, no matter what age."
