Enjoying the X-Men ’97 revival on Disney+? You might want to consider snapping up the tie-in LEGO set while it’s at its lowest price yet…
LEGO and X-Men are not seen together quite as often as many superhero fans would like, so when a new LEGO X-Men set does come along, it’s worth sitting up and paying attention. But 76281 X-Men X-Jet might not have held your attention for very long simply because of its price: the 359-piece set somehow weighs in at £74.99 at retail.
Fortunately, GAME has already taken its adamantium claws to 76281 X-Men X-Jet’s price tag, bringing it down to a more respectable £60. That’s the lowest price we’ve seen yet on this LEGO Marvel 2024 set, and for many superhero fans – especially those invested in the new X-Men ’97 animated series on Disney+ – it should make for an easier purchase.
While the price-per-piece ratio is still some way off the ideal, that’s a relatively flawed metric these days: consider that there are a lot of relatively large elements in 76281 X-Men X-Jet and it starts to make a bit more sense. This is a heftier jet than its piece count would suggest, coming in at 30cm long and 25cm wide, and you also get four X-Men minifigures for your trouble.
Those are Wolverine (of course – there’s no LEGO X-Men set without Wolverine), Rogue, Cyclops and Magneto, all based on their appearances in X-Men ’97. The jet is also equipped with stud shooters and spring-loaded shooters, while there are a couple of removable storage boxes inside to store spare ammo and Wolverine’s claw attachments.
